The fire started just before 5:00 Saturday morning and it took firefighters about an hour to get it under control because of the thick smoke and intense flames.

All of the victims made it out of the house, but they were either burned or suffered smoke inhalation. They were all taken to Nebraska Medical Center. A hospital spokesperson says six of the victims have been treated and released. A man and a woman remain hospitalized in critical condition. One child is in good condition.

Investigators say right now the fire does not appear to be suspicious, but the cause is not yet known.
