POLICE are appealing for witnesses after two teenagers were robbed at knife point yesterday.
Two suspects approached a 17-year-old male and a 17-year-old female in Rookery Park Rookery View, Grays, at 1.40pm.
One suspect took her handbag and walked off, while the other suspect told both victims to empty their pockets while pointing a knife at the pair.
He took the male’s Motorolla Sidekick slide mobile phone, worth £190.
The first suspect is described as male, white, 17 to 18, 5ft 9ins, slim to medium build, wearing grey/white hooded top and dark tracksuit bottoms.
The other suspect is described as male, white, 17 to 18, 5ft 9ins, medium build, wearing a purple/blue hooded top, light grey tracksuit bottoms and was holding a black handled kitchen knife.
DC Rebecca Jenkins said: "This incident must have been quite unsettling for the pair involved.
“Essex police will not tolerate crimes of this type and due to the fact that it happened during the day in a public place, we are hopeful that someone may have seen something.
“We urge anyone with any information to contact us immediately."
