A THIEF stole a purse from a pensioner’s home while she was in.
The crook gained entry to the house in High Road, Horndon-on-the-Hill, through the back door and took £30 from the purse.
When confronted by the 81-year-old woman, the crook ran out.
Laura Anderson, spokesperson for Essex Police, said: “This must have been a frightening ordeal for the victim who had to confront a stranger in her own home."
A bit odd we think that the woman could not give a description of what the culprit looked like.
