TWO men, including one from Thurrock, were robbed by a gang at knifepoint as they walked home after a night out.
The victims, who are both aged 21, were walking along Whitegate Road, Southend, at 3.30am on Saturday when they were approached by three men and a woman.
The gang, who were all white and aged between 20 and 27, threatened the victims with a knife before ordering them to empty their pockets.
During the robbery in which the thieves stole their wallets, mobile phones and cash, one of the victims, who lives in Leigh, was punched in the face and needed hospital treatment.
The second victim, who lives in Stanford-le-Hope, was uninjured.
