
The store has made a number of charitable donations to celebrate the completion of their extension.
Thurrock Women’s Aid has been going for more than 27 years and supports women and children through the provision of supported housing, with crèches, after school clubs, support, advice and advocacy services.
The charity has a purpose built refuge building and recently opened an outreach centre so that they can increase their work with women and children in the community and increase the number of clients they support.
Project manager Erika Jenkins said: “The money will help us continue to grow and provide much needed services to the women and children of Thurrock.”
Tesco Store manager Sean Doody said: “We regularly receive requests for funding from the surrounding community and we help wherever we can.
“As a store, we provide for the whole family and this is why it’s our pleasure to support such a good local cause.”
Tesco really shouldn't be funding sexist organisations run by extremist feminists , who've hijacked the issue for domestic violence for political purposes.
