Have you got the Xmas factor like Holly McKinlay?

ST LUKE’S Hospice is on the lookout for anyone who thinks they can belt out a Christmas classic or a festive carol.

The hospice is launching its yuletide talent show – the Xmas Factor – for the second year running.

Auditions to find the best seasonal singers will start at the hospice in Nether Mayne, Basildon on Wednesday, where hopefuls can take to the stage to demonstrate they have the Xmas factor.

Finalists whittled down through the audition process will be invited to perform in front of crowds of revellers at a gala evening in December where the lucky winner will be crowned.

Kerry Chambers, fundraiser from the hospice said: “We are looking for singers to wow the crowds with Christmas songs. Whether it’s Jingle Bells, a carol, a chart hit or even your own Christmas song.

“Last year was a great event. We had ten amazing finalists and our lucky winner was Holly McKinlay. We also had a grand finale song where all the finalists, hospice staff and the audience joined to really soak up that Christmas feeling!”

Auditions will be held at the hospice on Wednesday between 5pm and 7pm. Further try-outs will take place on Saturdays November 15 and 28 from 11am-4pm. Call Kerry on 01268 272 292 to book your audition.
