A VISIT to the Orsett Show earlier this year brought an early Christmas present to one lucky Grays girl.Eve Baker, 12, took part in Thurrock Council’s Waste and Recycling team’s competition asking young people to say why they could be the borough’s Green Hero.
Eve wrote that she does not “litter or graffiti and would never think of smoking!” and drew a costume for her Green Hero to wear which included a cape of leaves.
Last week Eve went to the Civic Offices in New Road, Grays, to pick up her prize a Dragster low rider bicycle donated by Cycle King of South Benfleet.
