A THURROCK social group have festive fun on the agenda as they gear up for the Christmas season.
Thurrock Plus, the social group for young professionals aged 18 to 35, has a packed programme of events lined up for the next six months.
Some of the up-and-coming events include: Three days of partying and live bands with several hundred other Plussers in Hunstanton, Norfolk, a group Christmas Meal, a fun run dressed as Santas in aid of Thurrock Community Chest and a trip to see Avenue Q in the West End.
Next spring they will embark on a weekend break to Brean in Somerset for more partying but In the meantime there are also sporting tournaments Bowling, Pool and Badminton.
Thurrock Plus' chairman, Dave Rew, said: "Making the most of your free-time can be more difficult in your twenties than as a teenager as friends go to college, move away to new jobs or marry.
“But if you are not into a specific sport or past-time and want to meet people it can be difficult to know where to go.
“Thurrock Plus aims to provide an answer, providing an enormous variety of activities as well."
