French day fun at Thameside Junior School in Thurrock

THURROCK junior school children tasted croissants and camembert cheese as part of a French Day.

Throughout the day of Friday October 17, children and staff at Thameside Junior School immersed themselves in all things French.

Children had the opportunity to learn french songs and try delicious foods such as croissants, camembert cheese and french bread.

The day marks the official opening of French language being taught to pupils.

Staff are now ready for 2010 when all Primary school children over the age of seven will learn a foreign language.
