Cheryl Banks and Pearl Titcombe at Bonmarche wear it pink for breast cancer

STAFF at Bonmarche, Grays, dressed up for "Pink Day" in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness.

But it was with a difference, as the day fell on Halloween, October 31, and customers dropped their pennies into a pumpkin pot.

Assistant Manageress Cheryl Banks and aptly named staff member Pearl Titcombe were a few of the many stuff wearing pink.

Cheryl said: "There was a lot of second glances and laughter from our customers but they seemed to appreciate the fact that we had acknowledged both days and £25 was raised towards the fight against breast cancer, which was the main aim of the day.”
