A MAN has been arrested following a drugs raid in Chadwell St Mary.
Police searched a flat in Godman Road this morning and arrested a 57-year-old on suspicion of being in possession of a controlled substance with intent to supply.
He is currently being questioned at Basildon Police station.
Officers recovered a quantity of drugs believed to be both class A and class C.
Neighbourhood Policing Officer, Sergeant Rob Bell, said: “This is another example of neighbourhood policing working whereby residents contact us with information on suspicious activity and we act upon it.”
