MORE than 730 pupils, parents and teachers cha cha slided their way to raising £550 for Children in Need at Little Thurrock Primary School today.
Together the children, staff and many parents raised money by all dancing to the cha cha slide.
At 2.30pm the school gates were opened to allow parents to join the children and staff in the popular party dance.
The school would like to give a special thanks to Chris Surrey, a parent, who brought all of his DJ equipment in and donated his time free of charge.
Organiser Andrea Lawson, said: “It looked fantastic. Thanks to everyone who joined in, donated money and had fun for such a good cause.”
