Fire officials say some 1,400 residents in Diamond Bar have been told to evacuate as a wildfire pushes toward multimillion-dollar homes and a Boy Scouts camp.
County Fire Inspector Ron Haralson says Sunday the evacuations were in the Country Estates Community and the Country Park area.
The blaze, powered by westerly winds, is part of a fire that has destroyed homes in Corona, Anaheim Hills, Brea and Yorba Linda.
Highway 57 has been closed to traffic and fire officials hope to hold the blaze there.
There were no reports of injuries or damage to homes.
