Voluntary groups benefit from village hall association donations

A GRAYS Village Hall Association presented cheques worth £950 to the voluntary groups that use Belmont Hall.

The Belmont Village Hall Association split the money between the Beavers, Scouts, Cubs, Belmont Senior Citizens Club, Mums and Tots, Belmont Happy Days Play School and the after school club.

The cheques were presented at the associations AGM on Monday November 17 by Simon Black, leading officer for village halls at Thurrock Council.

Association chairman, Brian Taylor, 67, said: “We’d like to say thank you to the groups using the hall.”
