A THURROCK social group have returned from a weekend in Norfolk which raised more than £200 for St John Ambulance.
Thurrock Plus, the social group for people aged between 18 and 35, recently attended the large gathering of over three hundred other Plussers at Searles Holiday Park in Hunstanton, Norfolk.
This consisted of three days of live-bands, partying, a casino, and a large number of other fun activities, and featured a Masked Ball on the Saturday evening.
The event also raised several hundred pounds for St John Ambulance.
Thurrock Plus, chairman, David Rew, said: "I particularly enjoyed the party atmosphere and the opportunity to meet up with friends both new and old from all over the country.
“We often hold events like this. There is another such event next March at Brean Sands in Somerset.
“Also, we will be returning to Hunstanton again in November 2009.”
Thurrock Plus usually meets at the Ship, Dock Road, Grays every Thursday from 9pm.
New membership inquiries are welcomed.
