WORKERS are being encouraged to back a hospice’s campaign, instead of sending Christmas cards to each other.
St Luke’s Hospice wants companies across the district to send only one joint Christmas card this year and donate the money they would have spent buying a box of cards to the hospice.
Large Christmas cards are being sent out by the hospice to businesses across the district. It is hoped the scheme will raise thousands for patient care.
Kerry Chambers, from the fundraising team, said: “We have been running the scheme for a few years and it’s been working really well, especially at companies, because it is a big card everyone can sign and see sitting on a desk.
"It also gives people the feeling they have helped out the hospice.”
