GUNS were fired during a shoot-out in a Basildon street.The drama erupted after a taxi, believed to be a blue Peugeot estate, was stolen by its passengers in Long Riding.
Moments later the car and its occupants are thought to have been involved in a shoot-out with another vehicle.
Two people have since been arrested and the road cordoned off, between the junctions of Dengayne and Hockley Road, as police searched for clues.
The exact details of the shooting have yet to be disclosed by police.
