Stanford-le-Hope Ladies Rugby Club strip naked for team calendar

STANFORD-le-Hope Ladies Rugby Club left their kit at home recently to pose for a 2009 team calendar.

The club are hoping that the calendar will boost their funds and also raise awareness of breast cancer at the same time, as any money raised will be shared with the breast cancer unit at Basildon Hospital.

The club, which is made up of a group of mums, wives and girlfriends of the Stanford-le-Hope RFC players, formed nineteen months ago.

They have since been working to improve their fitness and understanding of the game and are now ready to join the league.

The calendars are £6.00 each, including post and packaging.

To buy one contact the women’s team captain Claire Dawson or Coaches Kyran McDonald and Rob O’Connell, via the Stanford rugby website www.stanfordrugby.co.uk.
