New charges on the Dartford Toll river crossing from Saturday

NEW charges for the Dartford Toll River Crossing will be introduced from 10pm on Saturday.

Cars paying by cash between 6am and 10pm will be charged £1.50, with 2 axle goods vehicles charged £2 and multi-axle goods vehicles charged £3.70 per crossing.

Those paying with a pre-paid Dart Tag will be given a discount with cars charged £1, 2 axle goods vehicles charged £1.75, and multi-axle goods vehicles charged £3.20 per crossing.

Between 10pm and 6am the crossing is free for all vehicles.

A discount scheme for Thurrock residents will also come into effect with fees slashed to 20p per crossing for car drivers with the special discount Dart Tag.
